Lordswood Community Preschool is a warm, community run setting in the woodland area of Lordswood, Southampton. Our natural outdoor environment and homely indoor space help children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.

 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Preschool Manager to lead our team and ensure high quality early years education and care. You will oversee daily operations, staff leadership, curriculum, safeguarding and relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead day to day running of the preschool

  • Support and develop staff

  • Oversee curriculum and children’s progress

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead

  • Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and statutory requirements

  • Build strong relationships with families and external agencies

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Level 3 early years qualification (willing to work towards Level 4+)

  • 2+ years’ experience working in early years

  • Strong EYFS knowledge

  • Leadership or supervisory experience

  • Excellent communication and safeguarding knowledge

  • Knowledge of working with a pre-school committee

  • Knowledge of the new Ofsted framework
